Packing,Packing, and then more Packing

Packing, packing, cleaning, and packing. All just to get ready for this trip. Deciding what should stay and what should go. Throwing this away, laughing at that, wondering how this pile of stuff came to be. It's really quite liberating, deciding what stuff is more important than others and throwing as much as possible away or giving it to those who need it. I hope everyone gets this experience, the opportunity to discover and rediscover that these are just things and are as invaluable to you as the dust you breath. That they are just bits of plastic, wood , and metal that have no importance except what we perceive them to have.

Begin at the Begining

I'm from Shelby, Alabama. A small corner of the world. Remarkably normal and mundane in everyday. I am planing to move to New Zealand in September and it is the first jump in my globe trotting experience. I have sold most of what I own, gotten rid of a bunch of crap, packed my portfolio, cut my hair and am leaving everyone and everything I have ever known behind.
